It’s the first time in Hungary that an internet content provider company has founded its own insurance broker, though there have already been some similar efforts earlier as well. Biztosítók.hu Alkusz Kft. was founded in the beginning of September by Generál Média, the broker company was granted its operational license in the middle of October, and it’s starting its sales activity this weekend adapting to the mandatory changes in the insurance market.
Biztosítók.hu Alkusz is getting into the competition of the mandatory changes in the online insurance market this year, its aim is to reach a minimum of 30-40.000 policies underwritten by car owners on the webpage, biztosítók.hu, or through the telephone customer service.
Biztosítók.hu is developing its own tariff and contracting program in accordance with other leading broker companies, its webpage has already been available on www.biztositok.hu for the first registration possibility for two weeks. The complex webpage of Alkusz is going to be available from this weekend after the mandatory tariff program of 2010 has been completed.
Biztosítók.hu provides people who intend to spare some money with their compulsory insurance with the possibility of underwriting a policy not only on the webpage but also through telephone. Alkusz is founding an insurance call center and a business center in Hódmezővásárhely, the seat of Generál Média and biztosítók.hu. As long as the visitors of the website of Alkusz get lost in counting the tariffs or in any other issues, a qualified professional team is ready to help. And you can not only ask for help through telephone but take out the insurance at once too.
After that in 2007, 720 thousand and in 2008, 650 thousand people took the chance of changing their insurance company, Simon Péter, the professional manager of Biztosítók.hu Alkusz Kft. is expecting an increase in the changing market again. According to him, the slight decrease in 2008 is obviously due to the MÁV ÁBE changing campaign in August in 2008, since some of the drivers who had changed their insurance company then did not use the chance of changing the insurance in November yet. The professional leader states that the number of people changing their insurance company in November, 2009 is going to reach 800 thousand, the half of which is going to take out the insurance on the internet.
According to Holman Endre, the manager of Biztosítók.hu Alkusz, and the co-owner of Generál Média Kft., the expected success of Alkusz will be contributed in the one hand to the 3 million or so registrated users of the websites of Generál Média and to its 1 million other attendants per day, on the other hand to the workers’ high professional level in Genrál Média Kft. and Biztosítók.hu Alkusz Kft.
